The people who eat the ice cream should decide what gets made. Once a month, club members gather for an ice cream social — we taste the new flavor candidates together, talk about them, and vote. Whatever wins is what drops the following Thursday. We call it ice cream democracy, and yes, we take it seriously. It's also just a great excuse to get off your phone, leave your apartment, and be in a room with people who care about the same things you do. In a world that keeps moving more online, TNICC is stubbornly, deliberately in-person.

What actually happens at a TNICC event?

Think less "ice cream tasting" and more "Thursday night party that happens to have really good ice cream." Once a month we gather — an apartment, a rooftop, wherever — and taste the new flavors together. You vote for your favorite. The winning flavor drops the following Thursday. It feels like a party because it is one. Expect good people, good conversation, and a pint that's worth showing up for.

How often do new flavors drop?

Once a month, always on a Thursday. Here's the rhythm: the first Thursday is the social — members gather, taste, and vote. The following Thursday is the drop — that's when the winning flavor goes up for order and becomes available for pickup. Every month there's a party and then a pint. Mark your Thursdays.

Why half frozen yogurt, half ice cream?

Because we refuse to pick a side. Regular ice cream can leave you feeling heavy. Straight frozen yogurt can feel like a compromise. TNICC is the version that doesn't make you choose. The cultured dairy base gives it a cleaner, lighter feel — but the flavor, texture, and richness are all there. You eat it after a workout or after a night out and it works either way. No sacrifices. No apologies.

Do I need to be a club member to order a pint?

Nope — anyone can order a pint. You don't need to be a member to shop the drop. Membership gets you something different: an invitation to the monthly ice cream social, where you taste the new flavors and cast your vote. The eating is open to everyone. The party is for the club.

How does pickup work?

When you order, you choose a 10-minute pickup window from the available times. We'll have the location listed with each drop — typically a park or public spot in Manhattan. Show up in your window, grab your pint, done. Once a slot is booked it disappears, so no one shows up at the same time.

Is this really for everyone? It sounds kind of exclusive.

It's genuinely not an exclusivity thing — it's a community thing. We ask people to apply because we want the space to feel safe and intentional, especially as we grow and start inviting people outside our existing circle. If you get it, you're in. We just want to know a little about who's showing up. Anyone can apply. The club is for people who want to actually be part of something, not just buy something.
